Prompt 3: The "I Think I'm Positive, Now What?" Plan
When to use it
You just got a positive pregnancy test (or a faint line, or you're not sure what you're seeing). You need a calm, hour-by-hour plan for the next 7 days.
The Prompt
I just got a [STRONGLY POSITIVE / FAINT LINE / DIGITAL "PREGNANT" / UNCLEAR] pregnancy test. It's [TIME OF DAY]. I'm [EMOTIONAL STATE — e.g., "shaking," "cautiously excited," "terrified"].
Please give me:
1. The next 7 days, hour by hour, in plain language:
- What to do today
- What to do this week
- When to call my OB
- When to schedule my first appointment (and what to ask for)
2. What I should start doing right now:
- Food / drink changes
- Medications to stop / start
- Activities to pause
3. What I should NOT do yet:
- Announce to everyone
- Buy things
- Worry about every twinge
4. What I should do about [SPECIFIC CONCERN — e.g., "I had wine at dinner 2 days ago" / "I'm on anxiety meds" / "I had a chemical pregnancy last cycle"]
5. A "if anything goes wrong" plan (because I need to know the worst case isn't the only case)
Important: I'm not asking for medical advice. I'm asking for a calm structure.Example output
*"Today: take a second test tomorrow morning with first urine (this is when hCG is most concentrated). This week: call your OB to schedule your first prenatal visit, usually at 8-10 weeks. Stop alcohol, limit caffeine to 200mg/day, start a prenatal vitamin with folate (not folic acid if you have the MTHFR variant). Don't announce yet — wait until 12-13 weeks for the wider circle, tell your partner/close support now. If you had wine 2 days ago, the embryo wasn't even connected to your blood supply yet — no harm done. Take a breath."*
