Prompt 7: The "Can I Eat This?" Safety Checker
When to use it
You're staring at a menu / your fridge / a pregnancy food list online and you want a clear yes/no/maybe on a specific food.
The Prompt
I'm [N] weeks pregnant. I want to know if I can eat: [FOOD — e.g., "sushi from a reputable restaurant, salmon nigiri only" / "deli turkey from Subway" / "homemade cookie dough (raw egg)" / "blue cheese dressing" / "a venti cold brew from Starbucks"].
Context:
- How it was prepared: [E.G., "cooked to order" / "from a packet" / "raw" / "pasteurized"]
- Where it's from: [E.G., "reputable grocery store" / "Trader Joe's" / "made at home"]
- How much I'd eat: [E.G., "one roll" / "half a sandwich" / "a spoonful"]
- Other relevant context: [E.G., "I have a dairy sensitivity" / "I'm in T2 with normal BP"]
Please give me:
1. Clear verdict: YES / NO / OCCASIONALLY (with quantity limits)
2. The actual risk (what bacteria/parasite/compound, how common, what it does)
3. The "what to do instead" if the answer is no
4. Why the internet is so divided on this (most pregnancy food lists are overly cautious)
5. A short list of foods that are genuinely risky vs. foods the internet over-warns about
